Multi-Client: Electric Drayage Truck Funding
The California Air Resources Board, also known as CARB or ARB, is the "clean air agency" in the government of California.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is the air pollution control agency for all of Orange County and the urban portions of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, the second most populated urban area in the United States.
To build awareness around a $23.6 million grant awarded from the California Air Resources Board to deploy zero-emission trucks statewide and to highlight the collaborative effort from technology and agency partners to accelerate the commercialization of advanced zero emission heavy-duty trucks in the state, GNA Creative organized a joint press conference with the California Air Resources Board and the South Coast Air Quality Management District. The press conference included remarks from Sandra Berg, Vice Chair of CARB, and Councilman Joe Buscaino, Board Member of SCAQMD and the presentation of a $23.5 million check. The media event also included participants from each of the technology partners, including Kenworth, Peterbilt, BYD and Volvo, as well as members from San Joaquin AQMD, Bay Area AQMD and San Diego Gas & Electric. Two dozen media outlets attended with media coverage from regional outlets such as the Sacramento Bee, the Los Angeles Daily News and CBS Radio KNX 1070, and transportation industry outlets such as Fleet Owner, InsideEVs and Transport Topics, among others.
